EIGHT TREASURES QI GONG

In the Ni family tradition, the Eight Treasures are called Pa Kun Dao In which means Eight Groups of Exercise from the Immortal School.

Sometimes referred to as Standing Chinese Yoga, Eight Treasures Qi Gong has amazing physical, emotional, and spiritual benefits. Not only does it stimulate the body’s energy centers and increase coordination, it strengthens your 12 Meridians, the 8 Extraordinary Channels, and your immune system.

Eight Treasures Qi Gong increases vitality, provides arthritic pain relief, lowers blood pressure, invigorates the cardiovascular system, improves circulation, balances blood sugar levels, improves metabolism, strengthens the body, and increases balance and coordination.

This energy conducting exercise originated from the Eight Immortals during the Han Dynasty and has been passed down through many generations of the Ni Family. It has been well refined and its effects are deep and far-reaching.

Based on the natural motion of the heavenly bodies it integrates the body with the mind and spirit, specifically combining breathing techniques, simple movements, postural training, and mental imagery to guide the flow of energy.

It is an effective way to lengthen your years and can be practiced by anyone at any level of fitness.

This class requires a low to medium level of physical ability. You do not have to be in excellent athletic condition to practice. Eight Treasures Qi Gong can be practiced by anyone at any level of fitness, even if you are confined to a seated position.

All aspects of the practice are beneficial. For example, if you are someone with severe health problems that limit you from a physical standpoint, you can focus your practice on the breathing aspect. Then, as your health improves, the more physical part of the exercises can be emphasized.

Those who are already in excellent physical condition can benefit by developing a strong Qi center and a more harmonious flow of energy overall.
